MARK BREWER HAS SCREWED UP BIG TIME

By asingleblog

All right I know that anybody who knows anything about the SPCK/SSG saga knows that SSG has screwed up big time. Mark Brewer screwed up in uncountable ways, one of them making Brother Phil manager of all the shops. Brother Phil screws up even bigger time than Brother Mark. Brother Phil not only loses keys to a plane but then tries to sell the plane and according to the advertisement he lives in Tuscon, England. If you hadn’t noticed this before go to:

 http://planecheck.com/index.asp?ent=da&id=8812&cor=y

OK I know I might have a thing about the plane. But I also have a thing about www.thirdspacebooks.com

I cannot for the life of me see why Brother Phil is so avidly promoting this site. I was told by a bookseller at a shop which shall remain nameless that Amazon had been hired to deliver any book I might wish to order! I was also told that it could be any book not just a religious one. I thought the Brothers wanted all their shops to be Orthodox.

And then there is Durham – the premier bookshop. The Brewers went and separated this one and Chichester from the chain. One would think that they would take “speshul” care of these brand new companies. One would think that they would pay suppliers regularly and use the profits for the good of the shops. Well one would have to think again. Another mess at Durham, this time in the form of a petition just after Brother Phil has filled the shop with stock from the bankrupt Birmingham shop.

And whilst all eyes are on Durham (rightly so) let us not forget Chichester.  The Dean and Chapter of that Diocese need to scrutinise what the Brewers are up to on their patch.

I am reading “The No Asshole Rule” by Robert Sutton. He describes “certified assholes” (his words not mine). I think we need to get rid of the Brewers.

[...] have been a few rumblings about Third Space Books – who owns it and what you can buy on it have certainly gained quite high readings on the blog-richter scale. [...]

Asingleblog – the Chichester shop has nothing to do with the Dean and Chapter. It is in a building owned by the Diocese NOT the Cathedral. A petition is being written that will allow people to voice their concerns about the Chichester shop.

How can a Cathedral separate itself from its Diocese? Good to know that a petition is happening. Will sign when it goes online.
