BEWARE OF THE BREWERS.

By asingleblog

We know that the Brewers are “un”wanted men.small-bastards

They do not answer e-mails and at the moment they seem to be in a dug-out in Houston and Bountiful. Maybe they’ve seen Maura Stewart hiding under the stairs in her Harry Potter room, reminding them that income taxes have to be paid by 31 January.  And, if Companies House has a valid address for them, they will have been notified that audited accounts are overdue. I wonder if somebody is picking up the mail in Poole!

Then again, they might just be very tied up at the moment trying to hide £507,000 – the money they gained by their asset stripping performance in Exeter. Since only the Brewers know where that money has been stashed, their backpockets do not seem like an unreasonable conclusion.

And then there is Chichester and Durham.  At some stage they will have to give up Durham which will hurt them financially. Would they want to give up Chichester? After all they have boasted about turning it into one of their pet redecorating projects. Oh and were they not supposed to be looking after the fabric of the building anyway?

Are the Brewers trying to play the legal system by ignoring everybody and then hoping  all their critics will go away?

the-system

There is no knowing what these brothers are up to. One thing is for certain, the bloggers will not go away.

Hopefully if needed they will just go direct to the offices of BPLaw, especially as some of us have emails from the Brewers showing that that is where we had to send copies of accounts, and that is where SPCK had to send invoices for the first few months for bills to be (un)paid. So if in doubt raid the offices in Houston.

  2. asingleblog Says:

Phelim, news has reached me that the telephone bills are still in the name of SPCK. Surely that’s not right. If the bills go unpaid will SPCK have to cough up?

  3. Phelim McIntyre Says:

Now why doesn’t that suprise me! I am not sure whether SPCK will have to pay up for the unpaid bills, but they need to let the telephone companies know that the shops are no longer SPCK – yes the Brewers should have but they don’t tell anyone anything about moves and changes of names. Trading Standards and other legal bodies may be interested in this lapse of information by the Brewers.

  4. Tucson observer Says:

A lot of money is being spent in Tucson………….

  5. asingleblog Says:

Tucson observer – don’t know what that is all about.

  6. Tucson observer Says:

bountiful is in tucson, lots of new toys on property

  7. asingleblog Says:

    I’m betwisted and bemused.

  8. Tucson observer Says:

disgruntled neighbor, googled name, found all of your writings and others, sad stuff going on for many people, thought I would just add what I have observed in recent weeks.

  9. Phelim McIntyre Says:

Welcome Tuscon – have you checked out the other blogs especially SPCK/SSG: News, Notes & Info where you can read all about what they are doing over here.

  10. Phelim McIntyre Says:

Tuscon – meant to give the link. It is http://spckssg.wordpress.com/

  11. Tucson observer Says:

Yes I have, I spent hours and hours reading, stunned, appalled, that is why I wanted to comment in regards to you mentioning how much money was received. Don’t know of the one from Houston, just Tucson. It is a sad circumstance for the employees, and also God’s work.

  12. asingleblog Says:

Tucson Observer, sorry that you’re having an argument with your neighbour. When you say “money received” I take it that means the sale of the shop in Exeter? I don’t know of any other properties that the Brewers are trying to sell. You’re right about the circumstances for employees being sad but God’s work will continue.

  13. Tucson observer Says:

yes, I was referring to your mention of Exeter.

  14. Jonathan Says:

Well you know that one Brewer lives in a holiday home. Share the info with the Charities Commission and Companies House.

  15. asingleblog Says:

Jonathan, that’s a holiday home as advertised via google. Phil can’t be living there. The ad says that you can rent the whole house. As for the money from the sale of the Exeter shop – well when they hand in the accounts for St Stephen the Great to the Charities Commission we’ll all be able to see whether that money has been accounted for. It might end up in the Orthodox Church Mission Fund. Until we know we can only surmise.

  16. Valiant for Truth Says:

Not only will the Bloggers not go away, but neither will the organisations trying to sort out the legalities of this horrendous situation, plus those who don’t blog but sign petitions and give other support. Didn’t the new President of the US in his inaugaration speech talk about things like integrity, morals, ethics, honesty etc and how he wanted all of these kind of things in America? Well, we want them in the UK as well, so Brewers beware!

  17. Tucson observer Says:

the holiday house you mentioned on google, is the home. It has not been legally permitted as a holiday house (as far as I know). That is where they live, the neighborhood I live in also. This was part of the issues, we do not want a B&B (bed & breakfast) as we call them in our neighborhood.

  18. Phil Groom Says:

And we don’t want the B&B Brewers in our neighbourhood, either!!

  19. Aequitas Says:

Tuscon observer, so glad you found us , we all know about the house Bountifull , I am not at all surprised by what you say ,not been legally permitted as a holiday home . You and your neighbours must stand firm .The Brewer brothers have devastated lives in this country ,and they call themselves Christians. Can I ask what the new toys are at property , just being nosey best wishes

  20. asingleblog Says:

Tuscon Observer, keep an eye on those Brewers for us. They are tricky.

  21. asingleblog Says:

Phil Groom, the Bed & Breakfast Brewers. That’s a great name for them. Somebody gave them a bed and then they breakfasted.

  22. asingleblog Says:

    Your turn Mousey.

  23. Valiant for Truth Says:

Tucson – aren’t there planning regulations as here in the UK which could stop the B&B? After all, the other Brewer brother was stopped by the Courts in Houston from trying to submit a false bankruptcy claim. Otherwise, if the B&B is open, just get a Michelin Inspector to visit – they’re good at sorting things out.

  24. Jonathan Says:

Bed and Breakfast at the SPCK?

  25. Phil Groom Says:

When I said ‘B&B Brewers’ the words ‘Bed & Breakfast’ were not quite those I had in mind…

  26. Tucson observer Says:

Yes there are regulations and I thought it was done with until I went to the site you mentioned and saw it advertised.
I have seen a new motor home and more recently an hummer.

  27. annie Says:

Good to hear from you Tucson……well at least we now have an idea where SOME of the money owed to staff, suppliers ,utility companies and Landlords went….

  28. Valiant for Truth Says:

Sadly, Tucson, we’ve seen a lot of disregard for the law over here, and a lot of comments about documents not being received. Does the motor home have an address?

  29. MOUSEY Says:

This here`s a home for holidays.

Sorry about duplication. My server was having a silly spell.

  32. asingleblog Says:

Tucson observer, we are indebted to you for your comments. We hope that what you have read on the blogs will help you to fend off any attempts to sully your neighbourhood with the B&B Brewers. God knows we are ever so sorry with having them on our doorstep.

  33. Tucson observer Says:

    try this:

  34. Tucson observer Says:

    Wrong one:

  35. asingleblog Says:

    Sorry didn’t get that one.

  36. Valiant for Truth Says:

Tucson when we click on the ENTER HERE button, we cannot complete the information asked for so we’ve drawn a blank over here in the freezing cold UK. Mind you, we’re used to being kept out by the Brewers.

  37. asingleblog Says:

Valiant for Truth, I’ve e-mailed Tucson Observer. Hopefully some clarification will be posted.

  38. Tucson observer Says:

I resonded to email. hopefully that helps.

  39. Tucson observer Says:

I also reviewed the link I sent you, the corrected one, after you hit enter all you need is the first and last name and hit search, you don’t need the dates, etc.

  40. asingleblog Says:

Thanks Tucson observer. So this shows the number of times the Brewers have had to go to court because they wanted to rent out their home as a B&B. When you type in Mildred Brewer after entering the site it’s interesting too. Looks like the neighbours do not like the Brewers.

  41. asingleblog Says:

For those who would like a further look at what a nuisance the Brewers can be see http://www.pima.gov/cob/e-agenda/03132007/P21-06-033-AdtlMat.pdf

It’s worth the effort and if I’ve given the link incorrectly I’m sure I’ll be alerted to it. Strange how fundamentalists can allow noisy parties on their properties. I hope it wasn’t during the Orthodox lent. Oops sorry it wasn’t the Brewers having noisy parties. I’m not in the mood for winding them up.

  42. Phil Groom Says:

Google’s HTML version loads much faster than the pdf: Agenda Material.

  43. asingleblog Says:

What can I say about Phil Groom and the many working on this issue?

  44. Jonathan Says:

P12, Mr Brewer was dishonest? Way back then? He’s still trading?

  45. Justice Says:

A leopard never changes its spots.

  46. Justice Says:

Thankyou Phil Groom for posting the Agenda Material interesting reading.

  47. Phil Groom Says:

    I feel a song coming on…

Oh, I was on the bus to Bountiful
    to visit the B&B
when I bumped into a neighbor
who invited me in for tea.
She said, “Hey, that’s the Brewers’ place,
don’t you know that it’s a right disgrace?
They throw mud into their neighbor’s face
and pretend it’s fine coz there’s lots of space:
‘Of our guests there’ll hardly be a trace
    So God bless you all
    and sod off now:
    WE’RE THE BLOODY BREWERS
    AND WE’RE DOING IT ANYWAY!’”

Sorry, lost the rhythm towards the end. Must’ve been a bulldozer going by or something…

  48. asingleblog Says:

No it wasn’t a bulldozer. It was a grader trying to level the DIRT road leading to the B&B Brewer. Strange how dirt attaches itself to the Brewers. I would like to add that the neighbours won their appeal so I don’t understand why Phil Brewer has not withdrawn the advertisement. Phil G you could have used this as a new post on your blog.

  49. Phelim McIntyre Says:

asingleblog – one of us with rights to post threads may just do that.

  50. Phelim McIntyre Says:

Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona

  52. Matt Wardman Says:

    Just catching up again.

Good to have some input from Tucson.

  53. Phil Groom Says:

Leaving this comment in the hope that ‘Tucson Observer’ is subscribed to comments: Tucson, are you and your neighbours aware that Phil Brewer has filed for personal bankruptcy? See http://spckssg.wordpress.com/2009/08/12/philip-brewer-files-for-chapter-13-personal-reorganization/

    Thanks Phil.
