And from all this Amway stuff we’ve heard about, you wonder whether any cash flow from the US comes from honest sources as one cannot see that the shops are now financing themselves from their own income. If the Brewers are subsidising the shops (except Durham and Chichester) surely it must be to hang on to the premises for another five years. Hanging on in there in Durham and Chichester must be for “prestige” except that its the Brothers who get the prestige, not Durham Cathedral or Chichester Diocese.

This is my take Ezra and Valiant for Truth – it is probably yours as well.
The staff at Durham and Chichester should be under no illusion that the Brewers care about them. Staff at both those shops are just used by the Brewers to get stock for the other shops. They are in fact Mark and Phil Brewers “clearing house.” That is the sole reason for the Brewer presence in those places. Of course, as we know, the end game is selling the real estate as was done in Exeter. Phil Brewer is a sick bastard as exposed through his Amway dealings. Hopefully he will not be putting his foot in Britain and visiting swine flu on us all.
